Celebrating National County Government Month at Bridgewater Library and TD Bank Ballpark

Learn About Free Services, Score Tickets

BRIDGEWATER, NJ – In honor of National County Government Month in April, Somerset County will sponsor fun and informative events. On April 8 at TD Bank Ballpark, visitors can watch baseball, fireworks and participate in County Government Night, a special event sponsored by the County Board of Commissioners. The public can also visit the Bridgewater Library, at 1 Vogt Dr., in Bridgewater, April 10 to 17, to obtain printed materials about the county’s free services and job opportunities.

“The purpose of National County Government Month is to inform and remind residents about the valuable services and programs the county offers,” said Somerset County Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson. “When residents visit the Bridgewater library and TD Bank Ballpark, information about our programs and services will be easily accessible, and they can speak to representatives from various divisions to get their questions answered.”

County Government Night at TD Bank Ballpark, April 8

County Government Night allows visitors to score free home-game tickets and learn about valuable programs and services at this fun-for-the-family event. Not only will the Patriots play an exciting game against the Harrisburg Senators, but they will celebrate the team’s eight-millionth fan milestone with fireworks immediately after the game.

Either before or during the game the public can take a trip to the concourse area where county government tents and tables will provide information about free services and programs. Representatives from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, the Clerk’s Office, Office of the Surrogate, Human Services, and the Health Department will be there to answer questions. Job seekers also can learn about job openings and career development at the Human Resources table.
