Entries Sought for Somerset County Senior Art Show
Deadline is July 22
SOMERVILLE – Deputy Commissioner Melonie Marano, Cultural & Heritage Commission liaison, invites Somerset County residents age 60 and above to submit an original creation for the county’s annual Senior Art Show, which will be held in the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Gallery, located in the county Administration Building at 20 Grove St., between Aug. 3 and Sept. 12.
The deadline to register and submit artwork is Friday, July 22. All submissions must be the original work of the applicant, created within the last three years (2019-2022), and not previously entered in the Somerset County Senior Art Show. Categories include watercolors, oils, acrylics, digital/computer art, photography, pastels, works on paper, mixed media, sculpture and printmaking.
First place winners in both the professional and nonprofessional categories will have their work displayed at the New Jersey State Senior Art Show, which will be held both virtually and in person from Sept. 23 to Oct. 28 at Meadow Lakes Senior Living in East Windsor.
