Fall Leaf Clean-Up Help Available for Eligible Somerset County Residents

Register after Oct. 3

SOMERVILLE, NJ – The Somerset County Office of Volunteer Services has volunteers ready to rake leaves for eligible senior citizens and disabled homeowners who live in the county.

Each year, on the weekend before Thanksgiving, volunteers participate in the annual Fall Leaf Clean-Up project and rake leaves for the county’s homeowners who are unable to do their yard work. The annual leaf clean-up project is a one-day event that will occur on Saturday, Nov. 19.

To be eligible to receive help from the Fall Clean-Up Project, a property must be a half-acre or less, located in Somerset County, and the property cannot be maintained by a landscaping service.

Residents can register AFTER Oct. 3. For more information and to register, call the Somerset County Office of Volunteer Services at 908-704-6301 or email JDambeck@co.somerset.nj.us.
