Free Summer Sunday Concert Series Returns to Duke Island Park in August

The Tyrone Stackhouse Project will “Journey Through the Decades” with Four Shows Dedicated to the Hits of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s

Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset County Park is thrilled to announce the return of its free Summer Concert Series for 2021 this August as the county emerges from the COVID-19 pandemic that caused the cancellation of the 2020 shows. Each “Journey Through the Decades” show will feature the hits of a different decade played by the immensely talented Tyrone Stackhouse Project at the Duke Island Park bandstand in Bridgewater.

“We are so thrilled to have the free Summer Concert Series back. It’s a chance for all of us to get together and celebrate summer, music, and community,” said Somerset County Commissioner Paul Drake. “I can’t wait to get out to see the fantastic Tyrone Stackhouse Project run through the greatest hits of my lifetime throughout the month of August, and to be outside with my friends and neighbors enjoying Duke Island Park.”

Each show will start at 6:00 p.m. and The Tyrone Stackhouse Project will play 90 minutes without an intermission. The shows will be on:

  • Sunday, August 1, 2021 – Hits of the 70s
  • Sunday, August 8, 2021 – Hits of the 80s
  • Sunday, August 15, 2021 – Hits of the 90s
  • Sunday, August 22, 2021 – Hits of the 2000s

In the event any show needs to be rescheduled, it will be held on Sunday, August 29 at 6 p.m.
