Lord Stirling Park to Host ‘Discovery Day’ for All Ages

BASKING RIDGE, NJ – Families searching for a fun afternoon with an educational twist can attend “Discovery Day” to meet the park’s Naturalists and experience their favorite activities at the park. The Naturalist-led event will occur on Sunday, May 7, from 12 to 4 p.m., at Lord Stirling Park, on 190 Lord Stirling Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920. There is a suggested donation of $5 per person.
On “Discovery Day,” participants can try canoeing, playing games, birdwatching, and meeting live creatures. This event is great for families who are new to the area.

Environmental Education Center (EEC)
This program is made possible by the EEC and the Somerset County Park Commission. The EEC at Lord Stirling Park offers approximately nine miles of hiking trails, Naturalist-led programs, school field trips, fun festivals, nature-themed exhibits, facility and classroom rentals, a resource library, science and conservation research, and more. Our goal is to improve environmental literacy in Somerset County and beyond.
