Oct. 30 Job Fair at RVCC Features Dozens of Employers and Hundreds of Career-Pathway Positions

Explore new career possibilities at the Life Sciences and Healthcare Job Fair occurring on Monday, Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Grand Conference Center at Raritan Valley Community College, Lamington Road, Branchburg.

More than 60 businesses and agencies from Somerset and Hunterdon counties as well as neighboring counties make this a regional event. Participating businesses scheduled to attend include Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, Hunterdon Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Hackensack Meridian Health, Catalent Pharma Solutions, home health care agencies, senior living facilities, staffing agencies and dozens of others. Organizations supporting educational opportunities in STEM and career-advancement information advancement also will be participating.

During the event, the businesses aim to connect job seekers to hundreds of open positions with varied duties and requirements. Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resumes and be ready to talk with recruiters. Separate areas will be available for employers and job seekers to meet individually.

In addition to meeting employers, from 10 to 11 a.m., attendees can take part in the career workshop, “Multiple Natures: Unlock the Secret of Your Natural Abilities.” The workshop is being led by Jan Goodman, the Community Outreach Specialist and Career Coach for the Greater Raritan One-Stop Career Training Center.

The event is presented by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s Industry Partnerships team and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board, working with Raritan Valley Community College, Johnson & Johnson, Bristol-Myers Squib, the Healthcare Institute of New Jersey, and Ingenus Pharmaceuticals. Industry Partnerships unite talent with opportunity, with the goal of helping industries in New Jersey continue to grow and succeed.
