Leonard J. Buck Garden

L.J. Buck Garden contains one of the only premier rock gardens in the eastern United States. The garden was developed in the late 1930s and has reached a breathtaking point of maturity consisting of alpines and woodlands situated in a 33-acre wooded-stream valley. Named after Mr. Leonard J. Buck, it was developed as part of  his estate in the 1930s and was donated to the Somerset County Park Commission by Mrs. Helen Buck in 1976.
