Somerset County Commissioners Return to In-Person Meetings Tonight

Public Will Continue to Participate Virtually as the County Reviews CDC and State Guidelines on Opening Public Buildings and Meetings

SOMERVILLE, NJ – After more than a year of meeting virtually, the Somerset County Board of County Commissioners will meet in person tonight, June 8, at the Somerset County Administration Building in Somerville. As has been the practice since COVID-19 protocols changed how the public could participate, the meeting will be live-streamed and the public can comment or ask questions on Facebook, via email or by phone.

“We are very glad to be taking this next step back to the new normal today, and look forward to the day when we can have the public in the meeting room with us,” said Commissioner Director Shanel Y. Robinson. “The Board of County Commissioners has been able to continue to govern effectively and efficiently throughout the pandemic, but being able to get together in person and speak to the public face-to-face makes our jobs all the easier.”
