The Somerset County Department of Health invites county residents age 18 and above to attend a free six-week workshop entitled “Take Control of Your Health”. The goal of the program is to provide people who have chronic conditions and/or their caregivers with the skills and knowledge they need to take an active role in managing their health and improve quality of life. The workshop will be held every Wednesday beginning October 4, continuing October 11, 18, 25 to November 1 and 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Attend this fun, interactive, practical, and motivational course at the Franklin Township Community/Senior Center, located at 505 Demott Lane in Franklin. This program will benefit people age 18 and over who have chronic conditions, such as arthritis, heart disease, cancer, diabetes and asthma. Course participants will learn how to better manage their symptoms, eat healthier, exercise safely, alleviate pain and fatigue, be more independent, feel better and get more out of life.
Advanced registration is required. Register online at franklintwp.recdesk.com or in person at the Franklin Township Community/Senior Center. Registration preference is given to Somerset County residents, however residents from neighboring counties can register, if space is available.
