Somerset County Park Commission to Host Mischief Night Madness at Colonial Park Putting Course on Oct. 29
Have a Ghoulish Good Time with the Family
FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Join the Somerset County Park Commission for Mischief Night Madness to play miniature golf, listen to spooky stories, enter a pumpkin carving contest, and hop on a moonlight hayride. The event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 28, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Colonial Park Putting Course, located at 156 Mettlers Road, Somerset, NJ 08873. Admission is $5. The rain date is Oct. 29.
Miniature golf will be available from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitors who wear a Halloween costume will receive a free goodie bag. Refreshments will be available. The Somerset County Library System will provide spooky tales by the cauldron from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Bring a Jack-O-Lantern and enter the Best Carved Pumpkin Contest. Judging of carved pumpkins will take place at 6:30 p.m.
Colonial Park, located in Franklin Township, offers a spectacular variety of features and activities for park visitors. The park was acquired in 1965 and is 685-acre facility that includes scenic frontage on the historic Delaware and Raritan Canal and the Millstone River. Recreation facilities, prize-winning horticultural displays, and pristine natural areas are spaced amid broad lawns and ponds throughout this diverse Somerset County park. Located within Colonial Park is Spooky Brook Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course that offers a wide-open layout with spacious fairways and greens.
