Take a Naturalist-Led Woodland Walk at Leonard J. Buck Garden in May
FAR HILLS, NJ – Take a “Woodland Walk” through Leonard J. Buck Garden at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 14, or 21. The garden is located at 11 Layton Rd, Far Hills, NJ 07931. Led by a Naturalist, this informative tour will allow participants to enjoy a leisurely walk as they learn about various magnificent plants and the surrounding rock garden. Registration is not required. Organized groups are not permitted. The cost is $7 per person.
Leonard J. Buck Garden is known as one of the finest rock gardens on the East Coast. Developed in the 1930s, it has reached a breathtakingly beautiful point of maturity. The garden contains alpines, woodlands, and other exotic plants in a 33-acre valley with streams.
Visitors will learn about the magnificent drifts of native wildflowers, spring perennials, azaleas, dogwoods, and colorful flowering shrubs and trees. Visually appealing, rare, and exotic plants are growing among the rock formations and woodlands.
